Dear,

I would really like for this journal entry to motavate anyone who reads it to comment on it with your opinion or your own experiances..i kinda need someones thoughts on what i want to do.

I have been sort of a walking contradiction in the past year or so meaning, that when i moved to oakland i was convinced this is where i would stay.I have bounced back and forth thru thoughts and writing about how i want to stay here and then how i want to leave here.This is a mixture of relationships,experiances and something in me that knows i was meant to get out and see more of what life has to offer.

So, last night while laying on the couch and trying to sleep listening to the rain i remembered why i haven't left yet.It's fear....fear of not knowing, fear of failure, fear of not having the stability that i currently posess.Leaving the states and finding myself traveling abroad meeting new people ,opening my mind more, doing a little soul searching is where im at right now. I would appriciate some feedback from my readers/lookers on what you would do or what you think i should do.

I could just let go of everthing, up and leave and see where life takes me..or i could go thru each day dreaming of the possibilities.

Help!

afterall , it is the year of change right?

-j

man, the fear is the hardest part.
but one you accept that its part of life
than you can move forward, with i just dont
care attitude. not that you hate, or hate life
but you love it to much to care what others
think.

so if you want to go to zimbabwe, you can find away.
or wherever you want to go.

only you can make things happen for you.

if you aint scarred of failure, youre lying.

peace

Just a few reminders...

“Wherever you go, there you are.” -Buckaroo Bonsai

"If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there!" -Lewis Carroll

"Not all who wander are lost." -Tolkien

"Whether you think you can or think you can't, either way, you're absolutely correct." Henry Ford

"If you do not change direction, you may end up where you are heading.” -Lao Tzu

“Forget about the consequences of failure. Failure is only a temporary change in direction to set you straight for your next success.” -Denis Waitley

DESIDERATA

Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons,
they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain and bitter;
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.

Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs;
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals;
and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself.
Especially, do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love;
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment
it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.

You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be,
and whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful.
Strive to be happy.

LIke that old saying goes, with great love it requires great risk! If photography is one of your loves and passions in life then you should openly accept the unknown. LIke any relationship, people fear about feeling VULNERABLE, but we all know that allowing ourselves to be vulnerable at times can be such a euphoric feeling. If things don't work out the way you'd like, just think of it as lesson learned, but most importantly...take it as an EXPERIENCE!

Not a lot of people can say they have done the things that you dream about doing! Why not make it happen! I say, follow your destiny....but most importanly. follow your HEART! =)

whatever your dream is, never give up on your dream.
JUST FOLLOW YOUR HEART!!
we are dreamers.....we gotta make the dream come true yo.
you know that right???
if you wanna come to japan, I am here.
I will help you...that's what YOUR FRIEND can do for you.

BELIEVE IN YOURSELF

I am not going to be quite so poetic, but heres my advice. Just go! You are young, smart and talented and you have nothing holding you back. You have family and friends that will always love you and you can come HOME whenever you need to. I love my family and I wouldn't trade them but they keep my anchored. You've got freedom that I am jealous of, so don't stay if you are no longer inspired there.
